As always you have to see the positive in even negative things, which I don't often do also because I suffer from depression and therefore seeing the positive is not my strong point but yesterday I did it, my husband and I went on an errand to Gello, a small town that we often see from the road but which we had never visited or noticed, but yesterday the car key broke while we were in the area, this forced us to wait for the bus and obviously upset my husband who he hates taking public transport and I understand it because public transport here in Pistoia is terrible and I, who don't have a driving licence, know it well, unfortunately, few trips, expensive tickets and run-down buses. So we decided not to waste the day anyway and to take advantage of it to visit the village of Gello which turned out to be a pleasant surprise!

Come sempre bisogna vedee il positivo nelle cose snche negative, cosa che io non faccio spesso anche perché soffro di depressione e quindi vedere il positivo non è il mio punto forte ma ieri l' ho fatto, io e mio marito siamo andati per una commissione a Gello, un piccolo paese che vediamo spesso dalla strada ma che non avevamo mai visitato o notato, ieri però si è rotta la chiave dell' auto mentre eravamo nei dintorni questo ci ha costetto a dover aspettare l' autobus e ovviamente ha indisposto mio marito che odia prendere i mezzi pubblici e lo capisco perché i mezzi pubblici qui a Pistoia sono terribili e io che non ho la patente lo so ahimè bene, poche corse, biglietti cari e autobus malandati.Così abbiamo deciso comunque di non buttare via la giornata e di approfittarne per visitare il paesino di Gello che si è rivelato una piacevole sorpresa!

Como siempre hay que ver lo positivo incluso en las cosas negativas, cosa que no suelo hacer además porque sufro de depresión y por lo tanto ver lo positivo no es mi punto fuerte pero ayer lo hice, mi esposo y yo fuimos a hacer un recado. a Gello, un pequeño pueblo que vemos muchas veces desde la carretera pero que nunca habíamos visitado ni notado, pero ayer se rompió la llave del auto mientras estábamos en la zona, esto nos obligó a esperar el autobús y obviamente molestó a mi marido que él Odia el transporte público y lo entiendo porque el transporte público aquí en Pistoia es terrible y yo, que no tengo permiso de conducir, lo sé bien, lamentablemente, pocos viajes, billetes caros y autobuses deteriorados. Así que decidimos no desperdiciar el día y aprovecharlo para visitar el pueblo de Gello que resultó ser una agradable sorpresa.

Gello is a small hamlet located on the Ombrone torrent, one of the main torrents of Pistoia, a town surrounded by greenery and connected to the city via two roads including the highway, it is a town that has medieval origins made up of a handful of houses, a small church and various hamlets surrounded by greenery, a highly rated place because it is in nature but also close to the city. As soon as we entered the town we immediately saw the signs with the route that leads to Castello di Cireglio, a very famous pedestrian route that crosses the first hills of Pistoia for about a couple of hours at a brisk pace, we only did the beginning for reasons of time and because we didn't have the right shoes, the town is small but pretty with many colorful houses and many small niches with statues of Madonnas, on our tour we also found a beautiful mimosa tree that my husband attacked to take a branch from me, a frsta of the woman in advance! We continued towards the stream where there is a really long and beautiful walkway on the embankment, a path in the greenery next to the river, Gello also has two bridges from which we observed the river bed. We walked along the embankment and decided that it deserves a longer walk because the stream is really beautiful and winds up to the city and the surrounding nature deserves to be seen, we had this beautiful walkway near our house and we didn't even know it! The weather wasn't very nice but we enjoyed walking in the greenery, the view was magnificent and I think during the summer and spring it's even better, it's a perfect place for a picnic or for a swim in the river when we went away we have decided that we will return here to walk, which would be good for us since we both have several kilos more than we should!🤣

Gello è una piccola frazione situata sul torrente ombrone, uno dei torrenti principali di Pistoia, un paese immerso nel verde e collegato alla città tramite due strade tra cui la superstrada, è un paese che ha origine medievale composto da una manciata di case, una piccola chiesa e varie frazioni immerse nel verde, un luogo molto quotato perché è nella natura ma anche vicino alla città. Appena entrati in paese abbiamo visto subito i cartelli con il percorso che porta a Castello di Cireglio, un percorso pedonale molto famoso che attraversa le prime colline pistoiesi di circa un paio di ore a passo svelto, noi abbiamo fatto solo l' inizio per motivi di tempo e perché non avevamo le scarpe adatte, il paese è piccolo ma grazioso con tante case colorate e tante piccole nicche con delle Madonne in statua, nella nostra girata abbiamo anche trovato un bellissimo albero di mimosa che mio marito ha assaltato per prendermi un ramo, una frsta della donna in anticipo! Abbiamo proseguito verso il torrente dove c'è un camminamento davvero lungo e bello sull' argine, un sentiero nel verde accanto al fiume, Gello ha anche due ponti da cui abbiamo osservato il letto del fiume.Abbiamo passeggiato sull' argine e deciso che merita una passeggiata piu lunga perché il torrente è davvero bello e si snoda fino alla citta e la natura circostante merita di essere vista, avevamo questo bel camminamento vicino casa e neppure lo sapevamo! Il clima non era molto bello ma ci è piaciuto passeggiare nel verde, la vista era magnifica e credo che durante l' estate e la primavera sia ancora meglio, è un luogo perfetto per un picnic o per un bagno nel fiume, quando siamo andati via abbiamo deciso che torneremo qui a camminare, cosa che ci farebbe bene visto che entrambi abbiamo parecchi chili in più del dovuto!🤣

Gello es una pequeña aldea situada en el torrente Ombrone, uno de los principales torrentes de Pistoia, una ciudad rodeada de vegetación y conectada a la ciudad a través de dos caminos, incluida la autopista, es una ciudad de origen medieval formada por un puñado de casas, una pequeña iglesia y varios caseríos rodeados de vegetación, un lugar muy valorado por estar en la naturaleza pero también cerca de la ciudad. Nada más entrar en el pueblo vimos inmediatamente las señales con la ruta que lleva al Castello di Cireglio, una ruta peatonal muy famosa que cruza las primeras colinas de Pistoia durante un par de horas a buen ritmo, nosotros solo hicimos el principio. por cuestiones de tiempo y porque no teníamos los zapatos adecuados, el pueblo es pequeño pero bonito con muchas casas coloridas y muchos pequeños nichos con estatuas de vírgenes, en nuestro recorrido también encontramos un hermoso árbol de mimosa que mi esposo atacó para tomar ¡una rama mía, una frista de la mujer por adelantado! Seguimos hacia el arroyo donde hay un paseo realmente largo y bonito en el terraplén, un camino en el verdor al lado del río, Gello también tiene dos puentes desde los que observamos el lecho del río. Caminamos por el terraplén y decidimos que merecía una caminata más larga porque el arroyo es realmente hermoso y serpentea hacia la ciudad y la naturaleza circundante merece ser vista, teníamos este hermoso sendero cerca de nuestra casa y ni siquiera lo sabíamos. ! El clima no fue muy agradable pero disfrutamos caminando en la vegetación, la vista era magnífica y creo que durante el verano y la primavera es aún mejor, es un lugar perfecto para hacer un picnic o nadar en el río cuando salimos. Hemos decidido que volveremos aquí a caminar, lo cual nos vendría bien ya que ambos tenemos varios kilos de más de los que deberíamos!🤣
