Middle age Fair in Malmantile! Fiera Medievale a Malmantile!

Here I am again on steemit, I hope more active than in the past, there are many events that I have to talk about and tell about. One of these is the medieval fair of Malmantile, here we start from there. The medieval fair of Malmantile takes place in early summer in the town of Malmantile.

Malmantile is a city of military origin located between Florence and Pisa and easily reachable from Pistoia. Its name has a funny origin, it is said that it means bad tablecloth as a sign of the bad reception that the inhabitants reserved to an ancient bishop who was so shaken by it to curse the town.

Eccomi di nuovo su steemit, mi auguro più attiva che in passato, sono molti gli eventi dei quali vi devo parlare e raccontare . Uno di questi è la fiera medievale di Malmantile, ecco partiamo da lì. La fiera medievale di Malmantile si svolge ad inizio estate nella località di Malmantile.
Malmantile è una città di origine militaresca situata tra Firenze e Pisa e facilmente raggiungibile da Pistoia. Il suo nome ha un origine buffa, si dice che significhi cattiva tovaglia in segno della cattiva accoglienza che gli abitanti riservarono ad un antico vescovo che ne rimase così scosso da maledire la cittadina.

Malmantile is pretty and surrounded by a wall count, during the medieval festival the air of the city is really suggestive and obviously its walls are suitable for the medieval climate. This was conceived by a group of boys from the town, inspired by the striking walls, and immediately worked to create this event which not only serves to cheer up the country but also to finance public works that would otherwise be difficult to achieve without the proceeds of this event . So when you go to Malmantile you don't just go for a walk in a village of ladies and knights but you also do charity for the city!

Malmantile è graziosa e circondata da una conta muraria, durante la festa medievale l' aria della città è davvero suggestiva e ovviamente le sue mura si addicono al clima medievale. La esta è stata ideata da un gruppo di ragazzi del paese, ispirati proprio dalle suggestive mura, subito si adoperarono per creare tale evento che non solo serve a rallegrare il paese ma anche a finanziare opere pubbliche altrimenti difficili da realizzare senza i proventi di questa manifestazione. Quindi quando si va a Malmantile non si fa solo una passeggiata in un borgo di dame e cavalieri ma si fa anche beneficenza alla città!

The party is small but intense, there are two entrances to access it and you enter the walls where you are immediately greeted by craft stalls, wooden swords, amulets, wreaths, jewels and small books, then we find niches where they are walking the food stalls are located, from the classic porchetta sandwich to the most medieval dishes of sausages and pulses or only legumes and bread served in the restaurant which for the party is decorated in medieval style and offers many themed dishes. There is no shortage of stands where craft beers and spicy liqueurs such as the hippocras and the more classic mead are served.
Walking around the walls, the view of the fields is magnificent and the fields are preparing to act as a theater for medieval duels, archers and hawks and fires and tents where medieval legends are told. The view is magnificent and the walk is really pleasant, like stepping back in time!

La festa è piccola ma intensa, ci sono due entrate per accedervi e si entra nelle mura dove si viene subito accolti da bancarelle di artigianato, spade di legno, amuleti, corone di fiori, gioelli e libriccini, poi camminando ci troviamo delle nicchie dove sono situate le bancarelle del cibo, dal classico panino alla porchetta fino ai più medievali piatti di salsiccie e legume o solo legumi e pane serviti nel ristorante che per la festa è addobbato in stile medievale e offre molte pietanze a tema. Non mancano stand dove si serve birre artigianali e liquori speziati come l' ippocrasso e il più classico idromele.
Passeggiando nei dintorni delle mura la vista sui campi è magnifica e i campi si apprestano a fare da teatro ai duelli medievali, agli arcieri e ai falchi e a fuochi e tende dove si narrano leggende medievali. La vista è magnifica e la passeggiata è davvero piacevole, sembra di fare un salto indietro nel tempo!

In short, a small medieval fair not to be missed if you come to Tuscany in May / June! I look forward to coming back next year and drinking some hippocras!

Molto suggestiva è anche la sfilata di cavalieri e falconieri in apertura alla festa, vi partecipano i cittadini ed è davvero bella da vedere, la sfilata accompagna i turisti fino alle mura e c'è anche chi suona i tamburi per accompagnare il passo. Insomma una piccola fiera medievale da non perdere se capitate in Toscana a Maggio /giugno! Io attendo con ansia il prossimo anno per tornarci e bere un poco di ippocrasso!
