Porec city, let's talk about one of the most lovely sea town in Istria, Croatia.

Here I am talking about Porec or Parenzo in italian .

Porec city is a very nice and cozy place, a small town full of streets and nice corners, as you can see from the photos! Porec is a port city that has Roman origins and today there are some roman ruins, you can visit them easily.

The town is located near the island of San Nicola which can be reached by boat, this city boasts are really cool and fany. Porec have got  many artistic, gastronomic and natural beauties. Beautiful to visit the Euphrasia basilica and also other minor churches, many with pseudo-Byzantine architectures. The mix of architectural styles in the city buildings is very beautiful and is a legacy of the various passages and invasions that the city has undergone. Being a port city and a pearl of rare beauty, the city embodies within itself a mix of countries and cultures that is also reflected in food.

My boyfriend in Porec.

Very picturesque with its white streets Porec seems to loiter around its square of freedom, a large space dominated by the church of Our Lady of the Angels, with a historic monument and literally surrounded by shops and restaurants, with the many waiters trying to get you sit at the tables, sometimes with excessive insistence!
What I personally found annoying but that has revived in every city of Croatia that I have visited, so to be classified as a custom!
The square of freedom is of a singular beauty, very spacious and offers a magnificent view of the church that seems to impose itself on everything that surrounds it.

Walking through the streets there are some descents that lead to magnificent sea views and if you walk along these avenues on the sea there are also small places to rest and lie down to sunbathe, all close to the old walls that guard to the village and its inhabitants. The views on the sea are very romantic in my opinion and in fact instead of sitting romantically on the bench hand in hand, my boyfriend started climbing the walls, preferring to a sweet walk the risk of a bad backache.

While he was delighted to find treasures on the old wall I could walk undisturbed with his camera taking photos of everything that attracted my attention, that is almost everythig .
Mainly the sea that I as a mountain girl almost never see, just once a year  if I have luck and money.
Otherwise, a half afternoon in Viareggio is enough usually , Viareggio is a sea city not far from where i live, i  know that Viareggio is beautiful but is the only alternative close to my eyes and so i find it unattractive.
And here is my roundup of photos on Porec. I hope I have bored you enough for today or maybe I have created a little envy in any way if you happen Porec is really beautiful and worth visiting
