Rigomagno , a special little pearl in the tuscanian countryside

September 2021 · 2 min read · Tuscany

The tuscanian countryside have a lots of lovely villages to visit, big and Littles. One of the Littles is Rigomagno in the middle Between Sinalunga and the awesome little city Lucignano, one of the cutest city in the countryside. Situated on a hill rigognangno is in the middle of the green and, surrounded by olive trees and green fields. It's a city that I call a little pearl because it's really little, it's almost a cross of four street with a main square with a church and a bar open only during the summer.

It's a medieval village like most of the villages around Siena.

Rigomagno was in ancient times not a city but a Castle of Siena, situated a little bit far from the city for protect important people. The village was raze during a war on Middle ages but builded more stronger, the same things happen in the ranaissance and the castle raise stronger with more walls!

In modern days love there only 50 people, there are no shops or services, you can go there only by car, it's almost abandoned but during summer many tourists go to visit it for the nice position and the landscapes.

I absolutely loved it abd the few habitats were really friendly and nice, we had a nice grappa in the bar a d the price was really super cheap and the local grappa (a strong liquor) super good.

I plan to go back there next summer because it's really a little lovely place.
