Pictures Cartagena de Indias (third stop cruise)

May 2018 · 2 min read

Holidays in Cartagena de Indias in Colombia.

The photos shown in this article correspond to a vacation trip I made with my family a few years ago. This was one of the stops we made on an Antilles and South Caribbean cruise. The photos were taken with my little camera Kodak c913 and I found it interesting to share them.

When getting off the ship, there is a walk of about half a mile, to get to the passenger identification area, for tourists there is free entry and exit, I imagine it is controlled by the boat identification bracelets, that access is by a gift and souvenir shop where there is also a very nice cafeteria and a garden with some cute animals.

To enjoy and know a little about Cartagena in Colombia, a group of traveling companions pay for access to an excursion in a small bus with music. One of the stops included a visit to the castle of San Felipe, where we were allowed to go down and take pictures of the surroundings, while listening to a little of the history of the castle.

The historic area is comprised of old mansions that adorn a beautiful landscape with cobbled streets and flowered balconies. In this area you can find museums and houses that belong to different people of popular culture.

This is an area that commemorates the liberator Simon Bolivar, in its vicinity you can find different sculptures of the famous artist Botero.

During this visit, a small emerald pendant was raffled among the group participating in the workshop.
