All this is due to a specific variety of algae, which have found ideal living conditions here at an altitude of over 4,000 meters above sea level. Access to sunlight for many weeks can be undisturbed even by the smallest cloud. When an intense wind blows, waves that move algae form on the surface of the lake and excite the sediment of algae pigmentation, which turns the water red. If we add huge flocks of flamingos crawling on the surface of the lake and white salt blooms on the shores of the lake, then we get a truly fabulous landscape.

Laguna Colorada - to chyba jedna z najbardziej rozpoznawalnych wizytówek Boliwi.
