Alone in Brazil part 3...paradies beaches, mayo explosion and lost on the cliffs.

Hey, Hive and Travelfeed Friends  ;)

In the last part of my story "alone in brazil", I would like to tell you about my favorite place on my journey Arrail do Cabo. I have not seen a more beautiful place until today, clear turquoise water, a white sandy beach surrounded by the green overgrown coast.

🙀😍
🙀😍

I lived in a hostel called la casa hostel (best hostel💁‍♀️ ) and wanted to stay there for 3 days, but i didn't know at that time that it would be 2.5 weeks..
Only cool employees work in the hostel. You did something together with them and the other guests almost every day , had a barbecue together and  in the evening and made music in the garden. Of course, they sang in Portuguese but I just sang along or clapped along to something haha

I ate better in this city than anywhere else in Brazil, there was a small Cafe, unfortunately, I can't remember the name. In any case, I was there almost every day and tried it out, the Brazilians can bake so well .. small cakes with coconut or large cakes, everything was super delicious.😋 I now understand why the Brazilians mostly have a little more on their hips, but they also like to drink a lot of coca cola. The staff at the hostel also showed me a restaurant where there was an all-you-can-eat buffet. So everything that fits into your to-go bowl, beans with rice and meat, fish but also noodles and friese equivalent for about 2 dollars. A dream and the food was so good.

Once we wanted to make a trip to a special beach where a huge wooden staircase leads down to the sea. "Pontal de Ataliaia" I somehow overslept that day and the others go without me😑I wanted to come by myself, so I looked for the beach on the map and started the route.

I was a bit surprised because my Navi said I should turn right and the path looked a bit to jungley..but well, the Navi was right, I thought.

I went further and the path became ever denser and narrower, the others hadn't said anything about that! I still went a bit further , because I saw that the path was getting better again and the dense trees and bushes were gone. Walking past tall grass , i saw that I suddenly came out in the middle of the cliffs... it was crazy the sea was so wild under me and crashed against the rocks. I really stood in the middle of the cliffs. Great I got lost.😒

that was not the right way...

I walked back and after a few meters, I saw something red on the ground...I thought it was garbage, but on closer inspection, it was a snake. I looked at her for a few minutes, a little closer, until she disappeared back into the jungle. nice, I was a little bit happy to get lost because I wanted to see a snake in the wildlife. I showed the photo to the others from the hostel. 50% said dangerous, the other 50% said harmless only if the stripes were in a different order would it be poisonous. I don't know, it doesn't matter, she bit me not! :)

Well, I've been on the road for a while, I chopped off the beach for the day because it was too hot to walk more (for me anyway ;) ) I fought my way back through the strange jungle. And seeing the port from afar, I decided to just walk there, without a navigation system.

Later in the hostel, of course, the others laughed at me and asked themselves what had gone wrong. Of course, I blamed the navigation system 100%. For me, it was still a cool day, adventurous.

With such a landscape, you can often get lost... turtles were seen under the water.

Speaking of turtles, I was also able to swim with a turtle in the sea, I saw a dark spot in the sea, swam a little closer, and realized it was a turtle. I followed her a little bit, but she was sooo fast and so big. I don't think she was like that lust for me. It was still a great experience.

Speaking of animals, luckily I didn't see these animals alive. A girl from the hostel was lying on the beach under a tree, and suddenly she was startled because something fell on her blanket. It was this giant caterpillar or whatever that is... (about a hand big, women's hand ;) )

😵‍💫🙀 I’m always going to see wild animals....

I extended my stay every 3rd day by another 3 days and stayed in this place until 2 days before my departure. But everything was perfect, the people, the place, the excursions, the food, the weather!

One evening we watched the sunset together, I was hungry and took a burger and fries with me! There was also mayo for the fries...packed like a small sausage, I didn't eat it and in the end, I threw it all together with the other rubbish. Suddenly the mayo sausage burst and I had mayonnaise hanging all over, especially on my face, in my hair, on my arm...I was extremely embarrassed and looked very strange... I still stayed there for an hour with the others sitting there with greasy hair and smelling like a French fries stand haha

2 days before I flew back to Germany, I went privately with the car-sharing agency to Sao paolo. A friend from the hostel organized it, it was much quicker than taking the bus. Sometimes, we were stuck in traffic, but I had to go to the toilet so badly and really couldn't stand it anymore. The driver couldn't speak English and I think he didn't understand what my problem was haha. I couldn't have endured it a second longer, jumped out of the car and hid behind a tree on the side of the road, the driver and also the surrounding cars looked at me quite disturbed, but I didn't care...I was very relieved afterward.🤦‍♀️no matter...

I was let out pretty centrally at the largest bus station and then wanted to go to my last hostel where I slept for 1 night. The bus station was so huge and overcrowded. I saw some scary people there. At first, I couldn't cope and had to orient myself. The people came so close to you, begged you, or talked to you, it wasn't a nice experience The last night in the hostel there was still a thunderstorm in Sao paolo, I heard the loudest thunder I ever heard, not to be compared with a thunderstorm in Germany.

Thank you brazil 😍🤩
Thank you brazil 😍🤩

In conclusion, I can say that it was really a great experience to travel alone through Brazil. It makes you much more independent and self-sufficient. I think you shouldn't stop yourself from traveling to a country if you don't know the language, you always find each other somehow rightly so. Of course, it's nicer if you can talk properly, and the locals are always happy if you speak their language.

And i'm totally enthusiastic about brazil and the people there, i got to know them as very friendly people! for me, brazil is the most beautiful country i have ever been to. I definitely want to travel to Brazil again and then off to the Amazon 😛, there is still so much to discover, after all, Brazil is as big as all of Europe 🙀
