Despite the corona virus situation seeming to be getting better day by day, some countries have still increased efforts to prevent individuals from the mainland traveling into them. It's at times like this that one can look back and remember special occasions abroad and give recommendations to those lucky to still be able to enter various countries without being quarantined or worse.

Once such destination that comes highly recommended is the Microtel by Wyndham, in Puerto Princesa, The Philippines. This hotel is a beachfront property that is ideal for those looking for relaxation away from the noise and crowds of the city. The hotel provides a shuttle service for pick-up at the airport and boast clean rooms with an amazing view of the ocean. Rooms come equipped with all the usual necessities, and there is also a communal dining area where one can get coffee and use the wifi.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available at the on sight restaurant that overlooks a beautiful swimming pool that guests can enjoy, but guests can also unwind on a hammock and look out at the beautiful ocean. Canoes are available for rent, allowing guests to enjoy the ocean more intimately.

Those looking to explore a little more beyond the property, can make use of the shuttle service that will take guests to the closest mall, where you can watch movies, eat at the various restaurants or just buy souvenirs and/or clothes. For further exploration, I suggest you use the Grab app to call cabs to take you to other places.

People looking for even more excitement, can join in on island hopping tours which include snorkelling, massages and beachside cocktails. And as is quite common, very unique photography services are available for a few Pesos. All in all, Microtel by Wyndham is a unique gem of an accommodation that comes highly recommended for those who really want a laid back and lazy vacation, but also still want the option for more exciting activities available. Wishing you all happy travels :).
