Welcome to chapter 4!
We haven´t yet told you guys where we are actually going did we?
Well... we are moving to Curacao!
For those who don’t know, Curacao is a pretty small island in the Caribbean above Venezuela.
Until 2010 Curacao was a part of the Dutch Antilles which was dissolved in 2010. This is when all the islands in the Dutch Antilles became their own country within The Kingdom of the Netherlands. This explains why most people on Curacao speak Dutch but the native language is Papiamentu.
It has been 3 years ago that we went on vacation to Curacao, visiting friends who live there and just relaxing after a hard year of work. This is where the idea had been planted in our head and made us think.
We can’t just sell all our stuff and move to Curacao,...,..... or can we...?!?

First of all, because it’s a beautiful place filled with beautiful people and it has its own easy going lifestyle which makes it pretty appealing. Another reason for us is that the second language in Curacao is Dutch. This makes it somewhat easier to find work and friends along the way.
It’s also located perfect for easy travels to the USA or South America, some of the places we would like to explore while living this new chapter in our lives.
