No snow, as summer here in South Africa!
Thought to bring you warm nature photos to thaw your bones in the cold countries and to also transfix those in the hot countries with nature's beauty. There are some unusual shots here and a few others that we all know.
Come and relax here a bit at this post!
The first photo and this one is of the famous Citrus butterfly. Difficult to get him as he doesn't sit and bobs all over the place!
Here we have the biggest of the dragonfly species, the Blue Emperor (Anax imperator)
The blue Emperor is so big that they cannot sit and rather hang from branches to carry their weight!
Ah! Our miracle 24 hour flower popped open during the night, and here I will show you it's one day beauty!
Look at this, such a beautiful wonder, and now at 6:26 pm it has already folded and is busy dying. Just a brief show of absolute beauty!
No idea what this cactus-type of plant is, but it looks like Neptune's fork!
Here's a closer look at one of the tips, and I would hate to be struck over the head with something thorny like this!
Bright early morning sunlight highlights the dragonfly at the left, and the web-string of some spider on the right!
Here is a closer look at the dragonfly with his starry wings!
Some bug showing his aeronautical skills above the tree!
An Acraea basking in the early morning sunlight!
Later in the afternoon, this Heron made it's way home over my head to the mountain!
There he goes, and he will soon be home!
This is the mountain that forms the base for most of the flyers in this area!

And That's All Folks!
Believe it or not I took all of these photos today and over here not one day is the same. All of the photos were also taken in our small garden and there's a huge variety available should one decide to venture further afield.
My secret if one can call it that is to find a suitable hidden spot and to sit and wait for an hour or two. Of course many a shot gets blurred in the sharp morning sun, but in between the shots I always strike paydirt.
We hope that you have enjoyed the pictures and thank you for visiting a post by @papilloncharity
