Neukirchen, Austria 2019 First time on skis | Das erste Mal auf Skiern [EN/DE]

Hey dear Steemians, I´m back from vacation, of course with a bunch of new photos. I want to tell you three stories of my week in Austria. One is very unusual for me, it´s about sports haha. Last year we were in the same area, but our daughter was too young to ski. This was the first year for me and our 3 year old on skis. For her it was the biggest joy to hurtle down the hill, without any fear. I needed much willpower and energy, but I did it quite well after three days I think. But let me show you the area first!

Hey liebe Steemianer, ich bin zurück aus dem Urlaub, natürlich mit einigen neuen Fotos. Ich möchte euch drei Geschichten von meiner Woche in Österreich erzählen. Eine davon ist sehr ungewöhnlich für mich, es geht um Sport haha. . Letztes Jahr waren wir schon einmal in der selben Gegend, allerdings war unsere Tochter damals noch etwas zu jung zum Ski fahren. Nun war es das erste Mal für mich und meine 3 jährige Tochter auf Skiern. Für sie war es die größte Freude den Berg hinunterzuflitzen, ohne jegliche Angst. Mich hat es große Überwindung und viel Energie gekostet, aber nach drei Tagen hab ich´s ganz gut gemacht, denke ich. Aber zuerst möchte ich euch die Gegend vorstellen!

We stayed 7 days in Neukirchen where the "Wildkogel Arena" ski area is located. Neukirchen is a little village, of course full of tourists, mainly from Germany and the Netherlands.

Wir waren 7 Tage in Neukirchen in Österreich, wo es zur "Wildkogel Arena" geht. Neukirchen ist ein kleines Dorf, natürlich voller Touristen, hauptsächlich aus Deutschland und den Niederlanden.

You get up the ~ 2000m mountain with a gondola in about 20 minutes. The first time I struggled a bit with the height, but I got used to it. On the top you can find all kinds of ski runs, children entertainment, restaurants and bars. More crowded than I expected on top of a seemingly quiet mountain. Six out of seven days we had much sunshine and it was so warm that we were sweating a lot in our winter clothes

Man kommt mit einer Gondel innerhalb von knapp 20 Minuten den ca. 2000m hohen Berg hinauf. Das erste Mal hatte ich ein wenig mit der Höhe zu kämpfen, aber ich hab mich daran gewöhnt. Auf der Spitze des Berges findet man alle möglichen Skipisten, Kinderunterhaltung, Restaurants und Bars. Viel mehr los, als ich erwartet hatte auf einem anscheinend stillen Berg. Sechs von sieben Tagen hatten wir sehr viel Sonnenschein und es war so warm, dass wir in unseren Winterklamotten ganz schön geschwitzt haben.

Since my husband @michaeldietrich is really good on ski and my mother in law was even a ski teacher back then I got enough advice from both of them to survive this week without breaking my bones. But more than that I enjoyed the views. Hope you enjoy it too!

Da mein Mann @michaeldietrich ein sehr guter Skifahrer ist und meine Schwiegermutter früher sogar Skilehrerin war, bekam ich von beiden genügend Tips, um diese Woche ohne Knochenbrüche zu überleben. Aber mehr als das habe ich die Aussicht genossen. Ich hoffe ihr genießt sie auch!
