Scotland Roundtrip I - Dunnottar Castle [EN/DE]

Dear Steemians, holiday period starts, summer is right here now and we´re not able to travel this year, since we´re moving to another place soon. So I want to share some of my travel experiences at least and I hope you enjoy them as well. No worries, I still have some art to show and am still preparing some new pictures :)

Liebe Steemianer, die Urlaubszeit beginnt, der Sommer ist hier und wir können dieses Jahr nicht verreisen, da wir bald umziehen. Daher will ich wenigstens einige meiner Reise-Erfahrungen mit euch teilen und ich hoffe, ihr mögt sie auch... Keine Sorge, ich habe auch noch ein paar Kunstwerke zum zeigen und bin auch dabei, neue Bilder zu machen :)

I want to start with our trip to Scotland in 2013 including these places:

Anfangen möchte ich mit unserem Trip nach Schottland 2013, der folgende Orte umfasst:

• Edinburgh
• Being on the road...

In this first post I want to show some photos from the beginning of our journey. We arrived in Edinburgh by plain just to start by car heading towards Aberdeen, where we spent the first nights. After getting used to the left traffic we had lunch in a beautiful little city called Dunfermline, to see accidentially the first of the countless castles in Scotland afterwards - Dunnottar Castle, close to the city Stonehaven. We were tired and exhausted, but still enjoyed this location a lot. The seagulls were crying, the air was wet and a thundersturm was approaching.

In diesem ersten Post möchte ich ein paar Fotos vom Anfang unserer Reise zeigen. Wir kamen mit dem Flugzeug in Edinburgh an, um direkt mit dem Auto weiter Richtung Aberdeen zu fahren, wo wir die ersten Nächte verbrachten. Nachdem wir uns an den Linksverkehr gewöhnt hatten, aßen wir in einer wunderschönen kleinen Stadt namens Dunfermline zu mittag, um danach zufällig direkt die erste der zahllosen Burgen Schottlands zu besichtigen - Dunnottar Castle, in der Nähe von Stonehaven. Wir waren sehr müde und erschöpft, haben diesen Ort dennoch sehr genossen. Die Möwen schrieen, die Luft war feucht und ein Gewitter am Heranziehen...

Unfortunately we couldn´t access the area this day - a wedding was going on. Since the bride passed out, we had the spectacular view of a helicopter landing there at least. | Leider konnten wir die Ruine an diesem Tag nicht betreten, da dort eine Hochzeit gefeiert wurde. Unglücklicherweise wurde die Braut ohnmächtig und wir hatten zumindest den spektakulären Blick auf den Helikopter, der dort landen musste.
