Hi there my Steemian friends and followers!
Mushroom picking is considered one of the national hobbies here in the Czech Republic and I am a huge fan of this outdoor activity too. I love wandering through the forest in any season of the year but the possibility to pick some nice mushrooms (that you can make yourself a fantastic dinner from) makes these forest roams even more exciting and enjoyable so I was really excited to find out that this year´s mushroom season has already begun here :)
My first catch was not overly impressive, it actually was just a bunch of young red cracking boletes (Xerocomellus Chrysenteron) but it was still enough to make some delicious, super creamy mushroom sauce from it ;)
I had my cell phone camera with me so here is a little photo sample of what @liltammy and me found in the Radun Forest here in the Moravian - Silesian Region of the country just a few days ago.
Nice little fellas right? But you know what? Even if there are no mushrooms, being in the forest is always amazing experience just because you are embraced by these gentle giants.

Forest bathing at its finest :) My favorite way of recharging energy. It is just so sad that many beautiful forests here in the Czech Republic had to be cut down recently because they had been badly damaged by droughts, bark beetles and wind storms :(
