Welcome to the Bali of Batangas, Villa Jovita Resort!

November 2019 · 2 min read · Batangas

In the Philippines, and just a few hours away from Metro Manila, you'll find Villa Jovita - the Bali of Batangas. If you've been to Bali, Indonesia, then you must have heard or maybe even rode the famous giant swing or Bali Swing, or you may have sat on one of the nests that are perched high on a tree. These same attractions plus more, are now offered in Batangas, Philippines in Villa Jovita resort.

The Province of Batangas is famous for its numerous beach resorts, but unlike seeing white sands and seaside hotels, Villa Jovita is more famous for its Bali Inspired attraction, and having non-chlorinated pools that are connected to a flowing river, which the resort provides a relaxing view of.

How much will it cost to stay in Villa Jovita?

Since Red and I are such cheapskates, instead of spending the night in the resort, we just bought tickets for access to the Bali Swing and Nests which costs Php 250 ($4.92) per person plus the entrance fee to the resort which costs Php 100 ($1.97) each. So adding that up, that's about Php 700 ($13.77) for the two of us.

We were offered access to the pool for Php 150 ($2.95) each, but I said no, because I felt that the rate is a little too much, plus I am too tired from driving, and might end up falling asleep while swimming. A room accommodation by the way costs about Php 3,000 ($59) and it does not include access to the Bali-inspired corner - so that's a definite 'no'! But if we just want a table with some chairs, then that'll just be Php 300 ($5.90) for a table for six. I reasoned that we won't be staying long at the resort anyway, and we just wanted to experience the Bali-feel in Batangas, so I decided 'no' for tables and chairs too.

Here is a sample computation for a group of 6 on Day Tour:

  • Entrance Fee, Php 100 each = Php 600
  • Bali Inspired Attraction, Php 250 each = Php 1,500
  • Unlimited Access to the Pool, Php 150 each = Php 900
  • Access to a Table for six = Php 300
  • TOTAL = Php 3,300 or $65
