Hello Steemians and Uloggers! We went to Dumaguete via Saint George and Peter Shipping Lines on a Saturday night going to Valencia, Negros Oriental.

Going there from Cebu going to Dumaguete
📍Ride a taxi going to Pier 2 in Cebu City which costs around 100 -150 pesos
📍Book a ride going to Dumaguete in Saint George and Peters (fares below)

In going to Valencia, from Dumaguete Port you can either ride
📍a tricycle/pedicab or private owned vehicle going there.
📍In tricycle/pedicab it costs 150 pesos going to Valencia.
📍For a cheaper price, ride a tricycle going to the Jeepney terminal bound to Valencia which costs 9 pesos. Then, ride a jeepney going to Valencia which costs 12 pesos.

⚡Fun fact: Dumaguets is dubbed as the City of Gentle People so mostly all of them are honest and very sincere when you get lost or just by paying the fare in transpos.

So I am gonna share to all of you, how we have been accomodated by a friend here since we visited my mothers former colleague who died.

So we rested in a simple nipa house that is so comfortable and refreshing.

They had their sala which is all made from woods.
From cabinet to chairs and windows all of those are mostly made from wood which gave the house more air to come inside.

The curtain like design which are holes made of carved woods were used to seperate the living room and the dining area/kitchen.

Also, they had every filipino ancient design houses which has a garage turned into storage area which puts up all the things that aren't needed yet might be needed in the future.

The people here are so good with visitors. They went to the port to get us early in the morning, fed us with good food and conversations even though they were still mourning for their lost family member.
