Last week was the first time ever that I visited this beautiful place found in the northern part of Mauritius!
Commonly known as a fishing village, everyday when the fishermen come back after an evening out fishing, you get to buy the fresh fish that they've just caught and at a very good price!
Not really meant for swimming but rather a place where you can spend nice time picnicking, fishing and enjoying the beauty of the place!
It is a rocky beach where you get to see mangroves too. Mangroves are small shrubs that are so important for the beach ecosystem!
I spent more than 2 hours over there last week...I actually went there to buy fish and then my brother in law showed me this beautiful place!
Now that I've discovered it...for sure very soon I am going to bring my family and friends over to spend a night and have some fun fishing!
We have spaces for setting up a camp and also a place where we will be able to light fire at night and cook too!
This would be great indeed...fishing and cooking our catch right over there! What a great experience this will be!
And what to say about the views...everywhere you turn, you get to take great photos!
Such a calm place, lots of greenery and nice sea breeze incoming...simply paradise!
We are not yet in deep summer...still some days/week to go before the warm days are here and then I'll organize the picnic over there!
Have you ever travelled to Mauritius and visited Grand Gaube my friends!?
Oops...before I forget...Mauritius has opened its borders since the first of October to travelers now on...
All you need to enter is either : Proof of Vaccination or a recent negative PCR test! And you can roam around without big restrictions!
Hope to see you around some day in my country, will be a pleasure meeting and assisting you!
