Yesterday was my 3rd time going out for a fishing trip for 2022! Oh well...fishing is one of my favorite time pass and can go fishing every day and I'll never get bored!
So yes...After 2 nice fishing trips, this time we decided to go on the western coast of the island. At Les Salines exactly!
Reaching Les Salines is not easy though...but thanks to my niece, who some months back showed us the way...
The weather was very nice...no breeze at all, full moon and warm temps...everything was perfect for a nice day out fishing! I left home at around 6pm and I could not stop taking photos of the nature around on our way to Les Salines!
Below are some photos I took on the way...I normally should have taken 30 minutes to reach destination, but because of taking photos here and there, I finally reached there after 1 hour 15 minutes!
To reach Les Salines, you will pass through many small villages found on the coastal areas...like Beau Songes / Cascavelle / Tamarin etc...
Sunset on time...
I actually reached Les Salines just in time! If I wasted 5 more minutes, I would have missed the sunset...
I have to mention that I did very light edits on the photos...
Low Tide
After enjoying the amazing sunset...we walk around to check a little before it was completely dark...
The tide was at its lowest...usually this is the time where we get crabs and shrimps. You just have to walk in this shallow water and pick them up!
This is usual here at Les Salines, the sea level gets to very low during low tides! You can see below and above, how much the lagoon is dried up!
A lot of Crabs and Shrimps...
These are the 2 seafoods that I love catching and also eating...and yesterday there were a lot to catch!
Our Catch...
I can confirm that last night catch was the biggest ever for me...never we came back home with such a good quantity!

I came back home around midnight, a little tired but very much satisfied! It was such a relaxing time spent with the others who went with me.
