I made mosquito repellent and came to see the glaciers. The beach was so slippery with green moss that you have to be careful not to slip.
And here I met Gunhild from Denmark. We were about to take a picture, but hundreds of mosquitoes bothered us.
First, we stopped by the restaurant to have lunch because we were hungry. The name of the restaurant was Inuit Cafe. It was a Vietnamese restaurant. This place was also Wifi Cafe, which has only two in Ilussat. I'll introduce it later, but in Greenland, wifi was prepaid.
She ordered food that could taste in Southeast Asia, looked tasty. The sauce seems based on soy sauce.
I ordered 'Haluski', a flour-like dish made of potatoes in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and other countries, and Greenland ox steak. Unfortunately, the meat was so tough that I gave up while eating it.
Originally, I don't eat out because I don't have much budget, but it's not bad to go to eat local food. I think the price was about $45 for both menus.
After eating, I fell asleep for a while, and she secretly took a picture of me.
The important information I heard from her, was that the Greenland ferry 'Arctic umiaq', which travels around major cities in Greenland, docked in Ilussat every SUNDAY. Let me summarize why this is important information.
Greenland is one of the most expensive countries in the world, and most tourists have a one to two week for trip, even considering the special nature of the Arctic.
Ilurissat is Greenland's most popular destination for kayaking and whale tours on nearby disco islands, where you can see white, giant glaciers.
The problem is if you arrive at Ilulissat on Friday or Saturday, just before Sunday when the ship arrives.
If you want to travel to this place where you spend more time than any other city, you'll have to wait for next Sunday when the ship comes back.
There's another way to get on the plane, but there's a one-way fare of 200 USD for travel between cities that aren't far away, and Greenland's expensive accommodation, so if you don't have a tent, you'll spend at least 80 to 100 USD a day, but if you stay without a plan and miss a ferry that comes back every Sunday, you'll be stuck.

Also, I was lucky enough to buy the tickets at the lowest price, even though I booked them in advance about three months ago. That was about 380 USD a one-way, and when I searched for the flight ticket during my stay in Greenland, the fare was raised five times to 1,700 USD.
So when planning your trip to Greenland, you must consider!

Plan a trip to Greenland for at least two weeks at leisure.
If the schedule goes wrong, traffic in Greenland is not smooth, so you may have to spend a lot of money or give up. It's not a lot of flights or ships, and if the plane ticket becomes very expensive as mentioned above, it's possible to wait until it becomes cheaper and then escape Greenland.
2
Among them, let's schedule Ilulissat for at least a week, which is the most generous.
Ilulissat can do whale or seal tours on nearby disco islands, trek along the trail outside the city, or kayaking near glaciers.
Since the inter-city flight fare is expensive, it is best to spend enough time and then take a ferry on Sunday.

Let's go camping if the expenses are too much.
It's not easy to avoid the attack of mosquitoes staying in hotels or tents. In addition, the cost of accommodation is very high and camping in Greenland is not restricted unless it's private property, so many people use camping.
