You may be richer than me,
but you will never be free like me

Hello.
I'm traveler @rbaggo
who is finding 'Humanism' in
'Capitalism'

Today is a trekking tour of the surrounding mountains of Nuuk, the beautiful capital of Greenland.

I'll tell you a great secret. In Greenland, Wi-Fi is all charged. There is no free wifi... It charges as much as you use it.

There's a shopping mall called the Nuuk Center(NC) in Greenland. There is a wifi that you have to pay for here. If you connect the wifi to the shopping mall, you'll see the payment webpage. By the way, you can connect to Facebook messages and couch surfing messages for about a minute.(Slow Internet 1 minute for minimum wifi payment)

So I connected it for a minute, and then I connected it for a minute, and I logged onto CouchSurfing and sent a message to the hosts in Nuuk. And after 1 or 2 hours, I logged in again, and there were replies from 4 hosts who invited me!!

Wow, really kind people~!! So I got a host for three nights in Nuuk :D.

Let's go to meet Camille, the couch-surfing host. She is a French, is studying here in Greenland. There is a hill near her house, and there is a statue of Hans Egede.

Hans Egede
Greenland became a colony of Denmark in 1721 when Hans Egede, a missionary authorized by the king of Denmark, founded the city of Godthåb, Greenland, and began missionary work and trade with the current capital. The Danish Constitution was revised in 1953 and Greenland became Danish territory, but Denmark granted it autonomy in 1979. In 2008, Greenland voted from the Danish government to grant more authority to Greenland's local governments. Today, Greenland has a higher level of autonomy, governance, and administrative authority, which applies to several areas specified in Greenland's municipal government law.

He is like a governor who ruled Greenland and he is a missionary.

There's an ocean right in front of here, and people are learning kayaking here. It would be nice to learn kayaking here, but whales sometimes appear here.

image.png

And next to it, there is a statue of the Little Mermaid. Camille said that the mermaid was cursed for being greedy in the underwater palace. Well, what was your greed... ...to hog the whale?

Today, I'm going to go to a mountain near Nuuk. The Greenland house looks like this. It's just the same. Sometimes there are container houses, common concrete houses, yes. The price of the house is about 160,000 USD, two-bedroom apartment.

image.png

And a playground. It's a great place for children to play. If there's no mosquitoes....

The capital city of Nuuk is divided into three sections. The Nuuk area is downtown, the Nuusuaq is where residential apartments are clustered, and the last is the new city? I feel like I'm building a new apartment, but there's nothing... There's a small mart with one Lidl or something. Still, the new city where housing prices are expected to rise!!! Real estate information.

Before climbing the mountain, I went up to a hill overlooking Nuuk and looked around. Hiya, there's a wonderful view. Ah, Greenland, it's all rocky mountains. It's hard to farm in a place like this. When you try to reclaim land, it's a rocky mountain where rocks come out. Thanks to you, I felt like I was hiking hard. If you think about why Greenland's been so hard for two weeks... The terrain is not flat, it is high and low.
It's a country with a lot of ups and downs. There was a reason why I had a hard time going to the supermarket.

Let's climb a mountain. A mountain is parched. There's a beautiful place in is Valley. When I arrived there, a fishing boat was sailing over the sea, spraying the seagulls with food. I could see hundreds of seagulls that followed the boat!! And if you look to the right, you can see that the water is on top of the mountain. There was a lake on the mountain. It was amazing to see the sea and the lake on the mountain together.

I came to the point where I was supposed to arrive, but I decided to go up further. The water is so clean that you can drink it. Greenland and Iceland are among the cleanest water countries. However! Hot tap water comes from Iceland, so you should never drink it!

I met Danish girls while climbing the mountain. After talking sometime, we realized that we were the only ones walking this trail, so we decided to go down the mountain together.

Originally, we were supposed to take a bus from the entrance of the mountain to downtown Nuuk, but the bus didn't run either. Just in time, I asked a man who parked his car in the parking lot at the entrance of the mountain to hitchhike! I came all the way to Nuuk.
