USA roadtrip #26: Heart Attack Grill - World's most calorific burgers

June 2018 · 3 min read · Las Vegas

Unlike traditional fast food restaurants, the Heart Attack Grill in Las Vegas (450 Fremont Street) makes no secret about the unhealthy and high-calorie food which is served there.

Furthermore, the hamburger restaurant advertises explicitly with it.

The founder John Basso calls himself "Dr. Jon" and lets his staff serve the guests as doctors and sexy nurses. When entering the restaurant you have to wear a hospital grown and will be treated as a patient.

On the menu you can choose between a Single, Double, Triple or Quadruple Bypass Burger, optional with extra bacon.

In the bacon version, the Quadruple Bypass Burger has inconceivable 9,982 calories, which is worth an entry in the Guinness Book of Records. Who finishes this monster will be driven with a wheelchair to his car.

Another marketing gimmick is the announcement that guests weighing more than 350 pounds (159 kg) can dine for free here.

HeartAttack_7.jpg

Finally we can say that in this restaurant we ate our biggest but not our best burger. The food is indeed very greasy prepared, which spoils your appetite after eating half a burger.

If you want a meal for free, they have a scale there ;)

Whether you like this critical but honest concept or not, everyone has to decide for themself. In any case, the burger will stay in memory ;)

With a full stomach we will make our way into the Death Valley.
