Olkinya Lasho

July 2019 · 2 min read · Narok

The first big cat we saw on our game drive on the Maasai Mara in Kenya was a cheetah or olkinya lasho in Maa. What a beautiful animal!

On our game drive we had two vehicles. It was so fun capturing Cameron photographing the cheetah walking towards him.

He had worked with cheetah's last summer in Zambia and it was the animal he most wanted to see on our game drive. He got his wish!

Note: Some people have asked if it is scary being in the jeep with the animals so close. NOT AT ALL. They do not pay attention or care about the vehicles.

Look at that face!

Cheetah's have black tear-like streaks on their face.
