World Heritage Changdeokgung Huwon, Korea

Hello, this is my second travel post in English.
On the first one, World Heritage Changdeokgung palace in Korea @sklara, I shared some photos of the palace with you and fortunately it got some attention, thanks to a few curators. It was a surprisingly pleasant experience. :)

As I mentioned on the previous post, I visited this place to appreciate the autumn foliage of the back garden of the palace called Huwon which literally means a garden at the rear of the building.

In Korea we already had the second snow this winter so maybe it's a little late for photos of autumn, however the scenery was so beautiful and I'd like to share them with my steemean friends. :)

Huwon was loved by many kings and royal families of Joseon Dynasty, the name of Korea in the old days, and still loved by many Koreans and visitors from other countries.

but unfortunately you have to make a reservation to visit the garden and it's very difficult to get in during the autumn. Because it's one of the most popular places in Seoul to appreciate the autumn foliage.

This year I was lucky to finally have the chance to visit and it was a little early for the best scene, but still I enjoyed it very much. The best season to visit varies every year but it falls on the second or third week of November, FYI.

above the pavilion called Gwan-ram-jeong was the most popular photo zone :)
The pond was used for royal events such as boating.

Normally we have to go in to the garden with a guide tour only and the public is not allowed in on the pavilions, but when I went there it was during 'the weeks of book reading in Huwon'.

During those weeks in every autumn, free tour is allowed and four of those pavilions are open to book readers. I meant to read there but I was too busy taking photos.:p

Maybe next time!! Reading there must be a special experience of my lifetime, because those pavilions is where the kings and government officials were reading books and discussing.
