[EN/한글] For Korean, please scroll down :)

Hello. Steemians~

A few nights ago, My friends and I were invited to a gayageum concert at KOUS, Korea Cultural House, in Seoul.

Gayageum is Korean traditional string instrument consist of 12 to 25 strings depends on whether you play classical Korean music or modernized traditional music. You could call it a Korean harp, I guess.

Kous is for Koreans and foreigners as well who are interested in Korean traditional culture to understand, experience and learn it.

It was our first time to visit Kous and I guessed even many Seoulites do not know of this place so I thought I could introduce it to you. :)

It's in Gangnam area and easy to access via public transportation.
Now shall we go and look around?

The building itself looked quite plain.

But when we went in, we could see the interior shows Korean vibes here and there.

They also provide classes for Korean traditional craft and architecture.

There was a picture of Korean traditional dancers who have performed here before.

Waiting lobby in front of the main theater and the posters of the concert we were about to enjoy.

The main theater is used for all kinds of Korean traditional cultural performances.

On the stage you see another kind of Korean instrument called a changgu, a Korean drum if you want to call it that way.

The seats and ceiling also have traditional patterned finishing.

Well I hope you enjoyed the quick tour :)
Before you leave this page, for those who are interested in Gayageum play,
I'd like to give you a link, although not the same music we listened to but played by the same artist. :)

음악, 미술, 무용 장르에 상관없이 '현대'가 들어가면 전 좀 어렵더라구요 ^^;;
