Travel Contest

I arrived late but surely to this contest that is about going around the world, traveling and knowing places explored and unexplored by common people like you and me, who have given themselves to the task of recording their adventures and walks in nature.

This is a contest that is an exclusive initiative of @steemitWorldMap and the team led by travelers from (@martibis, @choogirl, @livinguktaiwan, @lizanomadsoul, and @itchyfeetdonica).

What you have to do to enter the contest, is really simple:

  •  Choose four of your
favorite travel posts that have been posted on the SteemitWorldMap in 2019.
  •  Include some images
    from each of these posts.
  • And say why you chose these posts and why they're special to
    you.
  • You have until Sunday 12 January GMT 2300 to participate if
    you haven't done so already.

And here I present you mine, I hope you enjoy them.

1.- In nature / En la Naturaleza

This is a very special post for me because it is a trip I made to the plains of my country Venezuela and besides seeing the beauty of the nature of that place, it allowed me to learn about the daily life of the people who live there. How strong you have to be to work in agriculture and cattle raising, as well as petting and getting close to different animals.

I sigh every time I see these images.

The number two in my collection is:

2.- Tourism in Nicaragua Between heaven and earth

Here I present you a little bit of the country of Nicaragua, its most outstanding places and something about the cultural history, the last socio-political events that changed the infrastructure of the city during my visit but the most important are its volcanoes and impressive views that can be appreciated without any cost.

One sight that took my breath away was the image of the support lagoon, which is a body of water of volcanic origin and is located in the town of Catarina near Masaya. The mountain is a dormant volcano where its crater is full of water and gives a reflection that cannot be distinguished between the sky and the earth.

According to the natural history of Nicaragua, the Apoyo Lagoon was formed about twenty-three thousand years ago, after the explosion of the Pre-Apoyo Volcano that left the current Apoyo Crater. The view is spectacular because the sky is confused with the water of the lagoon, it is not known where one ends and the other begins.

And to conclude I have a post that I made in two parts.1/2 and 2/2

3 and 4.- México Lindo y Querido, / Mexico cute and dear.

On this trip, I was able to travel through a large part of this country, visiting museums, zoos, main squares, religious monuments such as the Basilica of Guadalupe which is the second most visited Marian site in the world surpassed only by St. Peter's Basilica.

The Basilica of Guadalupe is a sanctuary of the Catholic Church, dedicated to the Virgin Mary.

But the most impressive of all was to visit the pyramids of Teotihuacan
