Right from the banks of River under the hanging Hooghly bridge of Kolkata. Though Ganga has been referred as very fast flowing river , however, here hooghly gives a cool and calm feeling.

The contest is about #seaphotography, but not living near to any sea shore let me to share some shots of river Ganga. Ganga is one of the major river in India and as always flowing with high stream.

We can see fewboats sailing and the other side of the river which is vastly populated with buildings and offices. We didn't dared to go near to water as it is quite risky , there is always chances of being drown. Princep Ghat is quite popular tourist destination in Kolkata. Situated at the banknof River Ganga is built during the British rule.

During the British Rule, it was used by the staff of the British Royals as a jetty for loading and unloading passengers and essential items. The ghat is located between Fort William and the Water Gate and is often visited by tourists exploring these attractions.

It gives a pleasant view of the river and in evening, the place is quite buzzing with family, who visit this place to enjoy some quality time.

At Princep Ghat, you will enjoy some boat ride, authetnic food of Bengal, take a long walk around the river bank and enjoy the river calmness.

Stay Calm....
