3 Tourist Spots to Visit in Cavite

Hello and what's up guys, this is @rye05 for your Sunday Travel again. I went to my home province in Cavite and since I couldn't find any travel posts for this week's Sunday Travel, I decided to make a post about some tourist spots in Cavite that you might want to check out whenever you're here or want to have a trip.

So let's go ahead and visit Cavite.

Aguinaldo Shrine

This for me should be the number 1 in your travel list as this is so historical. Aguinaldo shrine is located in Kawit, Cavite. This is where the independence of the Philippines was held during the Spanish colonization led by our first president Emilio Aguinaldo.

I've been here many times but only in the park. Tourists come here with groups and they are often given permission to tour inside the house of Emilio Aguinaldo which is one of the oldest house in the Philippines.

The inside of the house is full of expensive, hundred years furniture that you might think you're time traveling in the past. Pricing is free usually for visiting the park and Aguinaldo's house. It is also called Freedom Park.

Corregidor Island

Another historical site, Corregidor is a small island that is full of ruins and it has a lot of remnants from World War 2 like cannons and forts. It was originally called the Island of Collector by the Spanish because this is where ships would be inspected before they can dock to Manila.

Haven't been here but this is one thing that I really want to go to. An island with full of historical figures and mysteries is an adventure.

I think the most famous landmark in Corregidor would be the tunnels because it is so creepy and eerie. A lot of soldiers were killed in the tunnels including Japanese soldiers.

To get to Corregidor, one must ride a ferry boat usually along Roxas Boulevard in Pasay City.

Tagaytay

The Baguio of Cavite, it is considered one of the best tour spots in Cavite because of it's cool temperature and wonderful sites on a high place. It overlooks Batangas and Taal Lake and you can even view and tour Taal Volcano here.

Been here once and there's a lot of hotels and restaurants wherever you go so better prepare a big budget here because most of the prices here are expensive than normal. There are parks here where you can do horse riding and on the lower part are beaches that you can explore too.

There's a lot buses in Pasay that goes directly to Tagaytay.
