Before flying into this beautiful town, I was totally ready to be starstruck every corner I turned by casually bumping into celebrities on the streets of Los Angeles. My mind was wandering free, imagining all the celebs who lived in LA (Ellen Degeneres!!). With my mind already taken over by my daydreaming, I didn't do a single search on LA before taking off.
To my disappointment, I did not meet any celebs, but I've come to realize the beauty of Los Angeles. Its blue sky and the never ending sunlight, the palm trees lining up in Beverly Grove, and the houses (oh my).
Waking up to this beautiful sky brightens up the day from the second your eyes open.
The House of dreams
This is what dreams are made of. I had the opportunity to work in a house in LA, that had a grand entrance and gigantic balcony with a swimming pool overlooking down the mountain.
One of the best part of this estate was the swimming pool and the terrace area next to it.
A fireplace ready for a guest to come lay back and enjoy the view, the place was too good to be true.
Inside, the huge windows welcomed the sunlight into the house, creating shadows on the kid's play area.
My impression of LA was that money can really buy you the most amazing houses here. This still is the house of my dreams till this day.
What's for dinner?
Starved from working through all morning and afternoon, we decided to pack in a few good slices of meat for dinner.
We landed on a cafeteria styled Brazilian barbeque grill joint named Pampas Grill Churrascaria. Not wanting to break the bank for dinner, we settled on this restaurant that was lined with people ready to scoop up their dinner.
Being a cafeteria style restaurant, you get to pick and put on your plate whatever vegetables and side dishes you wish for. But note that the payment is by weight, so being mindful of what to put on is crucial at this stand.
Then you head over to the barbeque stand where you choose the type of meat you want, and the number of slice. The server will quickly cut up and put them on your plate, ready for you and your tray full of sides and meat to head over to the payment counter.
The cashier takes your tray and weighs your food and you are ready to pay.
