Pinnacles National Park, best place to go rockclimbing in the Bay Area California and also it has beautiful views and bat caves. I was not able to go rockclimbing this time but I will definitely be coming back to this place.

The Bear Gluch Cave entrance, it is closed for most of the year to protect a maternity colony of Townsend's big-eared bats, but not today. IM GOING IN. Its not like cavediving, like hands and knees or going prone, but you will be able to traverse the caves just crouching for the most part. The cave is short but you should be able to go through it in about 30 minutes, depending on how slow you walk.

Its pitch black in the caves, you will need a flashlight to navigate, a phone light will not help. Tripping hazards are big in this area and there are streams, a perfect environment for breaking your phone if you use it as your light source. There are arrows to help you find your way out, so you wont get lost. If you go off trail far enough, youll find beer cans and trash from people just hanging out there.

I dont recommend going alone.

Once you exit the caves you are greeted to this. The air is so still its so beau....I had to get out of there as quick as possible, I HATE BUGS!!!

I could not stand still for a second, I just kept swatting them insects. I was not full able to admire the area, the water was still. Perfect breading ground for mosquitoes.

Do you see the face?

Near Highest Peak, its a short hike, but worth the trip. Especially if you want to go rock climbing, but you might want to check to see if the trails are open beforehand.
