I hail from Delta, though I work in Abia state because that is where I got a job after my national service wayback in 2018.

I had to travel back to be with my parents before the lockdown because I didn't know how long this was going to last and I just knew i couldn't stay indoors all by myself for such a long time.

Here in Delta State we just recorded the first case yesterday, actually the infected person's area is quite far from my own Local Government Area,so I don't have any infected person close to me and I pray that I wouldn't have.

The Government has tried to prevent further outbreak by closing all borders, everyone is instructed to be at home and we have army and police officers who patrol around in check to see that people do not default. There are no travellers also as the borders are closed.

Just yesterday I heard that the Nigerian government invited about 15 Chinese doctors to help treat the infected person's though they haven't started work yet because they are under self isolation for 14days in order for the government to be sure that they are not positive to the Coronavirus to avoid more spread over here.

There has been lots of argument about it but then they are here already and I hope that they would render great services, Nigeria as a whole hasn't recorded up to 300 cases so we hope that the few infected person's would be discharged soon.

Here in Delta I must confess it's been boring for me because all my life I haven't been an outdoor person but then I have no choice,I just try to get busy and creative, that was how I decided on making my own spices for our family cookings am always so scared of this regular spices we buy from the Market, some have aromas and tastes that I can't figure out what was used to prepare them,so to be on a safer side I decided to prepare mine by myself,I also try as much as possible to prepare healthy meals.

I used, ginger, garlic, black pepper, cumin, rosemary, thyme and bayleafs since the ginger and garlic has some water in them,I peel and dry them completely before I blend everything together.

And then my home-made spice is ready,I also read books everyday to build myself,I can't wait for this to be over because I have missed my job.

Thanks so much for this contest!
