July 2019 · 4 min read
Welcome to today's Weekly Travelfeed roundup brought to you by @for91days.

Even though from the outside it looked quiet but behind the TravelFeed.io curtain there were some interesting developments, talks about team expansion, and we're in the middle to reveal a pretty big marketing effort to onboard new users outside the Steem Universe. So keep your eyes peeled and look out for further announcements.

And I can't underline it enough, we've been very impressed by the posts users are submitting. There is definitely an increase of post quality, and we can only say, keep them coming and keep raising the bar! Competition is getting fierce!

Now enough about us, below you'll get to enjoy the three best articles submitted to us, all earning extra rewards. Thank you all for using TravelFeed.

Please note - we are still in search for one more curator to cover a day or two a week. If you are interested, please contact us on discord (kindly find a link at the bottom of the page). Now let’s get reading!

The 1st Place

Chernobyl-like Amusement Park of the Soviet Era in Lithuania
written by @ctdots

Some of you could probably imagine a more modern example like Chernobyl? What is a better way to portray the exclusion zone than the legendary devil‘s wheel in the amusement park? What was once filled by children laughter, now is completely silent. Places like these are chilling, isn‘t it? As Elektrėnai amusement park proves you don‘t have to go to the exclusion zone to find such places.

The 2nd Place

A Mis Adventure in Himalayas On Cycle

It is Bagi village where 3 days back flood came. Due to flood and continuously raining since many days the only bridge had been broken which can land us other side of the river. Pitched tent in bus stand of Bagi village (2100m) and feeling happy when some children were around us. Today paddled almost 30 km. Tomorrow we’ll go further if it is rains or not.

The 3rd Place

Havey’s Australia & New Zealand Adventure Part 16 – Hobbiton & Kaituna River Rafting, North Island NZ
written by @nickyhavey

Oh. My. Goodness! I've done a few white water rafting excursions in my time and they are really good fun but nothing quite like this! The thrill of going down the river, not knowing if you're going to fall in, up against one of the forces of nature, I love it! However, the biggest grade rapids I've done are Grade 3 in a kayak when I was 15.
