Note: These pictures were all taken from my phone last July 2019, months before the events of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Hey there guys! I'm back once again for another one of my interesting blog posts. I'm now sharing to you some of my moments during the ToyCon 2019 held at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
Before Veronica and I went to Taiwan, Sonny and I attended a blockchain conference at Conrad Hotel in Manila. After the event, I befriended a well-known guy from the Fintech Association of the Philippines named Mike. He was a hardcore fan of cosplay, anime, games, etc. He told us that there's an ongoing ToyCon event at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
It's just near the SM Mall of Asia. Also known as Toy Conference 2019, this was an annual event held in Manila. It showcases some toys, games, cosplayers, anime dancers and a whole lot more. It's one of the biggest toy events in the Philippines.
I'm a huge fan when it comes to super heroes, anime, etc. I'm just glad that Mike invited me, Sonny and the rest of his colleagues. I even watched some of the cosplay girls dancing on stage and some parts of the venue.
I roamed around and enjoyed much of the event. When I took a picture of a beautiful woman cosplaying Princess Jasmine of Aladdin, Sonny told me afterward that she is a well-known fitness celebrity professional. I didn't recognize that she was actually Regine Tolentino.

I'm intrigued a lot of cosplayers in the annual Toy Conference at the SMX Convention Center in SM Mall of Asia. From Aladdin, Mask Rider, I.T., and other famous cartoon and anime personalities.
However, one of my favorite moments was when I took a picture with the zombies. I would never ever forget that, and it was a fun experience!

There are so many childhood stuff that's truly nostalgic to me, such as Marvel and NBA trading cards, View Masters, classic gaming consoles and a lot more. There's also a new fighting game called BAYANI that was introduced on Steam, which is purely Filipino owned. They have a playing demo inside the ToyCon 2019, and my new friend Mike tried playing that game. The characters are based on the country's national heroes and legends.
Overall, my first time experience in ToyCon was truly unforgettable. If you're having plans to visit the Philippines, you might want to check out the ToyCon annual event. The event place might change every year, but it's better that you should be updated if you're interested to experience the ToyCon event. I am not sure for this year due to the coronavirus outbreak, but let's just hope that it would happen once the pandemic is over. For sure, your experience will be all worth it!
