Hi Everyone,
As we left the main square at Kremnica, we started walking uphill through the cobblestones to The Church of St. Catherine Kremnica. It was approximately 5-7 walk from the square and it may take longer for some as you will be walking uphill.
In my last travel blog, I did mention that the area was very quiet for the weekend. As we were talking towards the church, I had a feeling the church may be closed. As we got closer, just as I suspected, the church was closed. Apparently, we were visiting during low season as well on the weekend therefore it was closed. They would re-open during the week but we would have been gone by then.
The church is a gothic style similar to the one we saw at Bojnice but at a lot smaller scale. The colours on the roof are similar Bojnice Castle herefore it is suggested that they are built around the same era according to the info we received from the front of the church. There was a gate which was closed up so we cannot even go up closer to the church.
Although we didn’t go in, we took some photos around the church and started making our way back to town. The surrounding area was preserved very well from the old times and we can see a lot of character around the back street once again.
