Hi Everyone,
I have so many photos of the castle as you know and I’m filtering all the interesting ones. When you are there, many people including myself tend to snap away. We are in our final part of the tour and what stood out were the ceilings and walls in the two rooms we visited.
The wall of this room has a large painting/wallpaper of the the important people of the castle. The blue background of the painting created a comfortable feeling for people in the room as it wasn’t the usual gold/bling feel like other castles. I think the painter chose the pastel base for a reason to allow the people in the room admire and relax in comfort.
When we looked up, the ceiling was made from wood with star shaped ornament in each section. With the combination of the calming wall painting with the ceiling, makes the visitors want to stay in the room for longer and admire all the furniture and other paintings slowly.
We then moved to another dining room which had a nice setting, perfect for a nice meal. Check out the ceiling and the side of the each arch near the window, the patterns match up creating a nice relaxing atmosphere.
Just as we were leaving, we go to a corridor and saw the wooden partitions were of a stunning design. There were different animals carved on the bottom of the each door. When we looked up, again, a new pattern on the ceiling made from wood. Simple which is what I like about this ceiling.
As we were leaving, we saw the stunning view outside of the castle. It was quiet and what I see is just like you can imagine from a fairy tail story.
Here is a model on what the castle looks like. It is not a big castle but we saw so much inside as you can see from my blogs.
We saw the sarcophagus of Count Jan Frantisek Palffy as we were leaving the castle.
