Throwback Thursday's: Erawan Waterfalls

April 2018 · 2 min read

Hello Steemian Friends,

As we said in an earlier post this week that sometime this week it will be our third year anniversary as a couple. That day is today! So, to fit the bill, we thought of doing a post about what we did last year to celebrate our second year together. We reminded ourselves that we used that day to explore the ever amazing 7 tier Erawan Waterfalls in Erawan National Park near Kanchanaburi in Thailand. It is about 3 hours by car from Bangkok towards the Burmese/Myanmar border. It is best to get up early and make your way there as soon as the park opens (08:00). Having been there twice since last year, we would recommend taking photos of each Tier as you go up, but get in the water at the top and work your way back to Tier 1. By the time, you reached Tier 2 on the way back, there would be loads of locals and tourists enjoying the falls. The park rangers only allow food and drinks to be taken to the first two Tiers, so this ends up being the two Tiers that are the busiest with picnics and people!

Cost of everything:

300 baht entry fee for Foreigners
100 baht entry fee for Thais
30 baht parking fee for cars
10 baht parking fee for motorbikes

Please remember to bring your swimming gear, water (to stay hydrated), sunscreen, insect repellent, snacks and a great sense of fun and adventure!

Please enjoy the video to see what the Erawan Waterfalls has in-stored!

Stay Classy Steemians!
