Yesterday, my friends and I went on the road for our late snacks-early dinner food trip. We don’t have specific food preference, we just want to try some newly opened resto around the City that we haven’t tried.

We found one, located at 193 Old Manila Road, Barangay Ibabang Dupay, Red-V, Lucena City (beside Yamaha Motors near CEFI and MMG). It was opened about three or two months ago, the talk of the town and very popular on the social networking sites like facebook and Instagram from our circle of friends.

The place was not that big, perhaps it is about 100 square meters from the parking space that can occupied 3 cars (while others parked their car on the roadside, the parking is safe don’t worry 😂) and the dinning area inside is quite small too but spacious for few tables and chairs. Photos above are the actual perspective of the resto, the wall was painted by giant sea creatures and decorated by bats, smiling ghost, pumpkins and skeleton on the door for the forth coming Holloween.

I ordered the food on the counter and we’re seated on table 10. And if you are curious and confuse with the design of the table number, you will find out later.

We have the impressive looking and mouthwatering Seafood Festival, it is similar to seafood paella with sticky rice, corn cobs, mussels, shrimp and crabs on a yellow buttered garlic sauce. This plated meal is good for 3-4 persons, we are group of 6 by the way.

Of course we got their specialty, the Giant Butterfly Squid Fest (the table number design made sense now 😄) and as the tag line itself... Above Sea Level, the home of the giant squid butterfly.

And I know, you already have the idea of how big it was. Yeah, about the size of our face or bigger? Haha! These giant squid are skewered upside down, fried with flavored breading, crispy on the outside and soft meat on the inside that you can actually tear off by your hand. Since, it is a seafood restaurant they don’t have spoon and fork, you will be eating using your hands with plastic disposable gloves.

These giant fried butterfly squid is good enough for 6 persons, perfect serving for everyone.

Also, the Firecracker Shrimp with Java Rice, its a fried shrimp wrapped in lumpia wrapper ideal to dip in vinegar sauce. I ordered 3 sets of this plate.

Another 2 sets of Bacon Wrapped Shrimp, that turns out as my favevorite. The bacon was crispy and tasty that matches the soft shrimp on the inside. The dipping was also flavourful, I guess it contained mayo, green herbs and spicies.

The Seafood Festival looks luscious, the seafoods are evenly cooked, saucy and buttery.
But guys, I would suggest that this one should be eat in moderation for healthy reason. Lol!

These festival meal costs Php 2,500.00 (about 50 USD) with 1 liter of red iced tea, 1 liter of lemon juice and 3 bottles of beer. Quite fair for six pax.

And oh, expect your self to be smelled like squid too after eating. 😂😂 Coz’ the strong odor of the food were just playing around in the air inside the resto that will quickly stick in the fabric. Haha!

My apologies again for making you hungry. Lol!
