MAKARSKA - The Capital of Croatian Summer Feeling [EN/DE]

Hello dear Steemians! I'm finally on tour again, this time at the beautiful Croatian coast, in Mararska and I would like to introduce this city to you today!

Hallo liebe Steemianer! Ich bin endlich mal wieder auf Tour, diesmal an der wunderschönen, kroatischen Küste, in Mararska und möchte euch diese Stadt heute kurz vorstellen!

Mararska has around 13,000 inhabitants and is located in central Dalmatia, about 50 km south of Split, the largest city of the Croatian coast.

Mararska hat ca. 13.000 Einwohner und befindet sich in Mitteldalmatien, ca. 50km südlich von Split, der größten Stadt an der kroatischen Küste.

The whole stretch of coast is called "Makarska Riviera" and it's not uncommon to hear people say that it is the most beautiful part of the Croatian coast.

Der gesamte Küstenabschnitt wird als "Makarska Riviera" bezeichnet und nicht selten hört man, dass es sich dabei um den schönsten Abschnitt der kroatischen Küste überhaupt handelt.

The main beach of Makarska is very well visited, here you have to arrive really early in the morning to get a good spot for relaxing. Nevertheless, the water is crystal clear.

Der Hauptstrand von Makarska ist sehr gut besucht, hier muss man wirklich früh morgens ankommen, um einen guten Platz zu ergattern. Trotzdem ist das Wasser glasklar.

Directly behind the city there are the huge Biokovo Mountains with up to 1,700 meter high peaks, that seem like a giant wall. The grey, rugged rocks, the lush green pine trees and the turquoise blue sea with its countless islands - that's what makes the Croatian Adriatic coast so attractive.

Direkt hinter der Stadt erhebt sich das gewaltige Biokovogebirge mit seinen bis zu 1.700 Meter hohen Gipfeln wie eine riesige Wand. Die grauen, schroffen Felsen, die sattgrünen Pinien und das türkisblaue Meer mit seinen unzähligen Inseln - das macht den Reiz der kroatischen Adriaküste aus.

The centre of Makarska is very busy during the summer months. Here on the main square there was a public viewing on Wednesday evening, when the Croatian national team won the semi-finals against England at the football world championship. After the victory of the Croats, the whole town was just celebrating like crazy. Fortunately, I will still be here on Sunday evening when Croatia could indeed become world champion. Sleep would definitely not be an option then at night 😉

Das Stadtzentrum von Makarska ist in den Sommermonaten sehr belebt. Hier am Hauptplatz gab es am Mittwochabend, als die kroatische Nationalmannschaft bei der Fussball Weltmeisterschaft das Halbfinale gegen England gewann, ein Public Viewing. Nach dem Sieg der Kroaten befand sich die ganze Stadt im Ausnahmezustand. Zum Glück bin ich auch am Sonntagabend noch hier, wenn Kroatien tatsächlich Weltmeister werden könnte. An Schlaf wäre dann in der Nacht auf Montag definitiv nicht zu denken 😉

The sunsets are particularly beautiful to watch here. The best view can be enjoyed from the small peninsula in the city area, which can be explored during a ralexad evening walk.

Besonders schön zu beobachten sind hier auch die Sonnenuntergänge. Den besten Blick hat man von der kleinen Halbinsel im Stadtgebiet, die sich bei einem gemütlichen, abendlichen Spaziergang erkunden lässt.

I hope these impressions have awakened a little holiday feeling in you. Tomorrow I will make an excursion to the two islands of Hvar and Brač and I will also visit the famous golden horn, which is the most famous beach in Croatia. Ich hoffe diese Impressionen haben bei euch ein bisschen Urlaubsfeeling geweckt. Morgen mache ich einen Ausflug auf die beiden Inseln Hvar und Brač und werde mir unter anderem auch das goldene Horn, den berühmtesten Strand Kroatiens ansehen.
