Hello steemians! It's been a while since my last post. I've had so many projects and trips lately, but today I want to show you that I'm still alive ;-) Currently I'm investing a lot of time in improving my photography. Budapest - one of my favourite cities, recently gave me the opportunity to do so. Today I would like to show you my best photographic results from my time in the Hungarian capital!

Hallo Steemianer!

The impressive view of the Chain Bridge and the Danube in Budapest gave me the idea for this Photoshop composition. It consists of two single shots. For the first one I focused with an open aperture on the railing, in order to separate it from the background, that I wanted to display as blurry as possible. As a result, of course the circle in the middle was blurry too. That's why I cut it out and put the second picture underneath, which I shot with aperture F11.0 and 30 seconds exposure time.

For me personally, Budapest is like a top model among Europe's metropolises and offers a seemingly endless variety of amazing photo spots. On my first day I visited the Fisherman's Bastion - probably one of the most beautiful viewing terraces in the world. If you haven't been there yourself yet, I hope that this photo will show you how stunningly beautiful this unique building is.

Unexpectedly I found even a nice spot for my glass ball photography at the Fisherman's Bastion. There was a fountain with some wet stone slabs that I used as a mirror.

The Liberty Bridge is one of the most popular photo spots in Budapest and, as I discovered, even a great place for crystal ball photography as well. The warm light of the setting sun gave me some nice contrasts for this shot and I used an aperture of F8.0, because I didn't want the background to be too blurry. So you can still see the structure of this amazing bridge pretty detailed.

Heroes' Square is the largest square in Budapest and one of the main sights of the Hungarian capital. I didn't want to take the classical touristy picture from the front, so I was looking for a new perspective and found a pretty nice spot to build up my tripod on the bridge at the back side of the square.

St. Stephen's Basilica is Budapest's largest cathedral and impresses not only from the outside by its size but also from its inside which has space for up to 8500 people. While the front of the church is very popular among tourists, I particularly liked the view from the opposite side of the street at the back, where I was able to use light trails from cars and even road markings as additional elements for my photo.

The typical yellow and orange trams are a characteristic part of Budapest's cityscape. That's why I always kept my eyes open for opportunities to integrate them into my photos. I achieved my best result with this shot in front of the Liberty Bridge under a cloudy sky after a rain shower.

This photo spot in front of the Liberty Bridge offers space for only one tripod. The first two times, when I wanted to take pictures there at blue hour, it was already occupied. The third time I came already before sunset to make sure that I could finally implement my idea of this Photoshop composition, which consists of two single shots.

The Great Market Hall is the largest and oldest indoor market in Budapest. Today, more than 120 years after its construction, the huge three-storey building has become a very popular tourist attraction. It was quite challenging to take a glass ball photo in such a place, because I didn't have much space and there were a lot of people around me all the time. Nevertheless I was not so unhappy with my result in the end.

The Parliament building is probably THE landmark of Budapest and so I wanted to photograph it in a unique way. The picture consists of 11 single shots from shortly before sunset to deep black night. I took a photo every 10 minutes and used 3 different ND filters to keep the exposure time constant at 30 seconds.

See you!/Bis bald!
