Hey guys! Today I would like to tell you about my time in Taipei. I spent two weeks in Taiwan's capital and despite the almost permanent rain it was enough to take some great photos, which I would like to present to you now. So that you are prepared for a trip to this exciting metropolis, I'll tell you my top 8 photo spots:

Hallo Leute! Heute möchte ich euch von meiner Zeit in Taipeh erzählen. Zwei Wochen verbrachte ich in Taiwans Hauptstadt und trotz des fast permanenten Regenwetters war diese Zeit ausreichend, um einige tolle Fotos zu schießen, die ich euch natürlich nun präsentieren möchte. Damit ihr für eine Reise in diese aufregende Metropole gleich bestens vorbereitet seid, verrate ich euch meine Top 8 Fotospots:

1. Elephant Mountain

This mountain is easy to reach by metro and after a half hour hike up several stairs it offers an excellent view of the city and the unique Taipei 101.

Dieser Berg ist ganz einfach per U-Bahn zu erreichen und bietet nach einem ungefähr halbstündigen Aufstieg über zahlreiche Treppen, eine hervorragende Aussicht auf die Stadt und den einzigartigen Taipei 101

2. Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall

The Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall is located in the city center and is much larger than it appears on photos. A really impressive building and an absolute highlight of Taipei.

Die Chiang Kai-shek Gedächtnishalle befindet sich im Stadtzentrum und ist um einiges größer, als sie auf Fotos wirkt. Ein wirklich beeindruckender Anblick und ein absolutes Highlight von Taipeh.

3. Liberty Square Arch

This triumphal arch is located directly opposite the memorial hall, on the huge Liberty Square. It is a very popular photo motif and it's very impressively illuminated, especially at dusk and at night!

Dieser Triumphbogen befindet sich direkt gegenüber der Gedächtnishalle, auf dem riesigen Freiheitsplatz. Er ist ein sehr beliebtes Fotomotiv und wird vor allem in der Dämmerung und Nacht sehr eindrucksvoll beleuchtet!

4. Ximending

Ximending is Taipei's entertainment district and particularly popular with young people. Therefore, the streets of the district are well frequented. For photographers, there is a freely accessible viewing terrace directly opposite the metro station.

Ximending ist Taipehs Vergnügungsviertel und besonders bei jungen Leuten extrem beliebt. Dementsprechend gut besucht sind auch die Straßen des Viertels. Für Fotografen gibt es direkt gegenüber der U-Bahnstation eine frei zugängliche Aussichtsterrasse.

5. Zhongshan Park

This park is located not far from Taipei 101 and is nevertheless very quiet and idyllic. In the evening, the colorful lights of the skyscrapers reflect on the calm water of the small pond around which the park is built.

Dieser Park befindet sich nicht weit vom Taipei 101 entfernt und ist trotzdem sehr ruhig und idyllisch. Abends spiegeln sich die bunten Lichter der Wolkenkratzer auf dem ruhigen Wasser des kleinen Teichs, um den der Park angelegt ist.

6. Xinyi Road

Walking west along the bustling Xinyi Road from Taipei 101, you will soon reach a pedestrian overpass from where you can photograph one of the busiest crossroads in the city as well as its landmark. This photo spot is very well known and popular.

Geht man die belebte Xinyi Road vom Taipei 101 in Richtung Westen, so erreicht man nach kurzer Zeit eine Fussgängerüberführung, von der man sowohl eine der geschäftigsten Kreuzungen der Stadt, als auch ihr Wahrzeichen wunderbar fotografieren kann. Dieser Fotospot ist sehr bekannt und beliebt.

7. Pyramid Fountain

This pyramid-shaped fountain in front of the Taipei International Convention Center is relatively inconspicuous and is hardly noticed by both tourists and locals. So you have ideal conditions to photograph it without stress.

Dieser pyramidenförmige Springbrunnen vor dem Taipei International Convention Center ist relativ unscheinbar und wird sowohl von Touristen als auch von Einheimischen kaum beachtet. Somit hat man ideale Voraussetzungen um ihn in Ruhe fotografisch in Szene zu setzten.

8. Nanjing Fuxing Station

The brown line of the MRT runs above ground through the skyscraper canyons of the city centre supported by pillars. Some stations, such as "Nanjing Fuxing" offer great viewpoints for photographing light trails from cars and trains.

Die braune Linie der MRT verkehrt überirdisch von Pfeilern getragen durch die Hochhausschluchten der Innenstadt. Einige Stationen, wie z.B. „Nanjing Fuxing“ bieten deshalb tolle Aussichtspunkte, um Lichtspuren von Autos und Zügen zu fotografieren.

Taipei is really a very interesting and versatile city, which you should definitely visit if you have the chance. Taiwan's capital is not yet overcrowded with western tourists, but that could change quickly, so don't wait too long!

Taipei ist wirklich eine sehr Interessante und vielseitige Stadt, die ihr unbedingt besuchten solltet, wenn ihr die Chance habt. Noch ist Taiwans Hauptstadt noch nicht überfüllt mit westlichen Touristen, doch das könnte sich schnell ändern, also wartet nicht zu lange!
