Bridges of Bilbao
Today, Sunday I want to present you the bridges of my city.
As many of you know, my city is divided by a Ria.
The Nervión estuary.
So we have many bridges all with history, new and old.

Puentes de Bilbao
Hola amigos
But let's start with an order.
Imagine entering the sea to Bilbao itself
The first bridge we have is:
The hanging bridge of Portugalete.
It is the first industrial monument in Spain recognized by Unesco.
Also declared a World Heritage Site.
But that's nothing compared to its metal beauty.

Pedro Arrupe walkway:
This wooden and steel footbridge only allows pedestrian passage, but it is enough to join two large buildings such as the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao and the University of Deusto, located on the Abandoibarra promenade and the Avenue of the Universities respectively.
***
Pasarela Pedro Arrupe:
So called because it was where the sailors saw and prayed to the Virgin of Begoña
***
