Elephant herd in the Masai Mara Kenya

How's it going Travelfeeders and Steemers??

I'd like to share some more photos from the Masai Mara in Kenya.

We had just watched the cheetahs have a successful hunt and were back on the road heading towards the parks exit, as the park closes at 5.30pm.

Along the way we spotted a herd of elephants in the distance.

As we got closer we stopped the car and admired these beautiful creatures.

There was a couple of babies in the herd.

And the mumma elephants sure are huge!!

Here is a fun fact. The African elephants ears are shaped like Africa 😊 Where as the Asian elephants ears are alot smaller and shaped like India.

It is pretty common to see the adults ears with rips in them as they sometimes get caught in tree's.

We said goodbye to the elephants then headed towards the park exit. As we got close it started to rain.

"Bless the rains down in Africa " we all started to sing haha

What an amazing day in the Masai Mara. It sure was a day I will never forget. From hanging out with the lions

To watching the elephants drink

While hippos were hanging out in the river.

To the cheetah hunt

Then to finish it off with another herd of elephants sure was an amazing day😊

As we exited the park our driver had to sign out... And then that was when we got swarmed by the local Masai villagers trying to sell us tourist treasures!!

They surrounded the car and every lady had the exact same thing to sell. It sure is a hard hustle for them.

Renee bought a necklace then we headed back to the camp grounds.
