Metropolis at the equator After we had to cancel sadly my planned visit to @redpalestino in Kuala Lumpur due to health reasons, Singapore was the last stop on our Asia trip. The welcome in the arrival hall of the airport was, climatically speaking, rather frosty. Quite in contrast to the tropical humid air that struck us in the open air. Ideal conditions to catch a cold if you are not used to it.
Metropole am Äquator Nachdem wir den geplanten Besuch bei @redpalestino in Kuala Lumpur aus gesundheitlichen Gründen leider absagen mussten, war Singapur die letzte Station auf unserer Asienreise. Der Empfang in der Ankunftshalles des Flughafens war, klimatisch gesehen, eher frostig. Ganz im Gegensatz zur tropisch-feuchten Luft, die uns im Freien entgegen schlug. Ideale Bedingungen um sich zu erkälten, wenn man nicht daran gewöhnt ist.

Marina Bay Sands was opened in 2010 as a luxurious holiday resort with a casino, museum, theatre, hotel, rooftop swimming pool and shopping centre. The hotel consists of three 55-storey towers, the roofs of which are connected by a publicly accessible roof terrace. The world's highest (200 m) and longest (146 m) infinity pool on a roof terrace is legendary.
Mit Marina Bay Sands wurde 2010 ein luxuriöses Urlaubsresort mit Casino, Museum, Theater, Hotel, Dach-Freibad und Einkaufszentrum eröffnet. Das Hotel besteht aus drei jeweils 55-stöckigen Türmen, deren Dächer durch eine öffentlich zugängliche Dachterrasse verbunden sind. Legendär ist der weltweit höchste (200 m) und längste (146 m) Infinitypool der Welt auf einer Dachterrasse.
The ArtScience Museum, also known as "The Welcome Hand of Singapore", combines culture and science. Its outer shape is based on a lotus flower. The ten petals rise at different heights towards the sky. The daylight entering from above illuminates the galleries inside.

Since 2008, the "Singapore Grand Prix" has been held on the Marina Bay Street Circuit as part of Formula 1. Two weeks ago Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) won here the night race.
