Another steem mini meetup here in Bangkok. I lost count but I will just do whatever number I feel like.. Bangkok Steem meetup #8 lol Yeah, sounds about right.
@travelling-two was going hard on making merit and all that so he couldn't make it (joke) :D and @hangin was somewhere on an island flirting with Samui monkeys (another lame joke) :) So turned out to be 3 of us @redpalestino, @daveonarrival and @waybeyondpadthai..
If you travel through Bangkok, Thailand, there's no way you don't know about 'Khaosan Road', one of the most touristic area around with all the street food, bars, hostels, massage and all offered to the backpackers/travellers from around the world.
Khaosan is pretty loud so if you want it a bit more quiet, you go to the next street called 'Soi Rambutri' That's where we were! The end of Soi Rambutri where it crosses with Tani Road. Lots of lots of street food around and if you ever look up.. There's this super duper cool attractive looking rooftop bar..

This is my second time coming here and there are some good reasons when you want to go back for more..
I love the atmosphere..
Wow, just like its name! but really, the atmosphere's just hard to beat. The view of old city from the 5th floor (that you have to walk all the way up here). You can even see the gorgeous Golden Mount from there. Nice breeze and not as loud as you are on Khaosan Road..
Thai craft beer
Thai craft beer is also one of the highlight and they even have the seperate menu for it. It's not that you can find these in all 7/11 or Family Mart so yes, pretty special. Totally not the cheapest choice for you to get drunk but the cool kids love them!
Thai beer prices vary from 100-180THB (3-6USD) and the imported ones could cost 260THB (9USD) for a small bottle.

Oh! no no no!! I can't forget about their great service.
I was waiting for a while before the others arrived. The waitstaffs came to me like 4 times with 4 different people and asked 'Would you like a drink?' I was like, 'I got drunk with 1 beer. If I get a drink now, at the time my friends arrive, I would already be fucked up' lol so that's why I ordered this appetizer instead!
Squid french fries
To be honest with you here, since the crypto market is not the best at the moment, we skip the bar food and go grab street food afterwards - #greatlife we have. Though, I got a small plate of 'Squid french fries'. That's really what they call it. Basically it's deep fried squid comes in a form of french fries.. The dip was pretty good. Mayo mixed with wasabi! (120THB)
Live music!!!
This is sooooo awesome! They got live music everyday after 8pm. Last night, the singer's voice was just so sweet. My heart's melted awwwww. The songs are both in English and Thai as the place got all the customers from around the globe. Yes, yes, it's Bangkok! It's Khaosan road!
So glad I discovered this place as really, it's just so chill. Good vibes, great views, nice music. Again, I just love the atmosphere! If you ever pass by Bangkok and are already in the area, for sure give it a night or two! :)
Oh! All the street food down there! Time to get some munchies!!
