Day 3 - Our Head Of Steem Adventure - The Journey Begins

We are on our way to Austin for the Global Block Builders Conference. It will take place later this week so we thought we would take our time and enjoy a couple of days camping and getting some night sky photos in some of the darker skies in Texas. It enables us to recharge from some of the stress we have been under between my health issues and Dad's passing.
We begin this leg of our journey at Shortcakes Diner in Stillwater, Oklahoma. This is a place we use to frequent when we leaved here ten years ago. It is a hole in the wall place that existed long before the 1980's when Ms. Gayle purchased it so there is lots of history here.
Please keep in mind we are in a public diner and are not in control of anything, especially the colorful local patrons. We ask that you please remember this as you hear the colorful language that might showup in the background. This should be considered your warning! Ha!
The plan is to visit Fort Cobb State Park and Great Plains State Park here in Oklahoma. These are the last two parks in southwestern Oklahoma we have left to visit, leaving only three Oklahoma State Parks left to visit in the whole state. Then we will make our way down to Copper Breaks State Park in Texas, just south of Quanah. It is there where we will camp for the night and enjoy some of the beautiful Texas landscape.
