Amazing Ecuador ( part 1 )

May 2018 · 3 min read · Guayaquil

Hi Steemians!

Back in 2016 my dream came true and I visited Ecuador. Having many friends there, I was even more eager to meet them and see the beauties of this South American country.

My trip will be divided in 4 parts and I will show you the biggest city of Quyaquil, the high Andes with Canar and the ruins of ancient Ingapirca, the highest peak Chimborazo and the resort town of Los Banos. Unfortunately there will be no Quito or Cuenca, although I went there, but it turned out that mostly I was using my camera to shoot video clips. Most likely will have them downloaded on d.tube very soon.

My first stop, after 12 hours flight from Madrid, was the biggest city of Quyaquil. As I had never before traveled to the South of the equator, I was really very excited!!!
And it turned out that my expectations were not only met, but exceeded .

Malecon is the Embankment area and after the renovation that was undergone few years ago, now it is the favorite place for residents and tourists.
Quite a pleasant 3 km long promenade along the Guayas River is one of the most ambitious projects in the city. You can find many cafes, bars, restaurants, IMAX cinema, markets, monuments and a botanical garden.

That's me. I like tropical greenery!

Santa Ana hill rises on the background of the pic. It is the old part of the city, the place where it was born back in 16 th. century.

I was left speechless by the view of Santa Ana hill with all the nestled next to each other beautiful colorful houses.
So I did the same, what most of the tourists here do. Climbed up about 440 stairs to the top of the hill.

The walk itself through the narrow streets of this artistic district will bring a lot of positive emotions. Here everything is so colorful: museums, art galleries, craft shops, Internet coffee places, bars and restaurants.

And as a reward:
From the observation deck, you can enjoy a spectacular view of the city and its surroundings from a 350-view angle, including the confluence of the Daule and Babaio rivers, forming the large river Guayas.
A beautiful old church and a lighthouse sit at the top.

From the top of Santa Ana hill my attention was caught by the longest Ecuadorian bridge, that will take us to the Andes.
