COLORFUL COFFERS FILLED WITH THE WORLD' S FINEST CHOCOLATE: A photographic chronicle of my trek to the paradise town of Chuao. 1st Entry.

Cocoa fruits are bigger than my head.

Regards to all of you, dear Steemit family!

In Chuao, a paradisiacal village inhabited by descendants of Africans and protected by the mountains of Henry Pittier National Park, (in the venezuelan state of Aragua) and by the limpid waters of the Caribbean Sea, thousands of cocoa plantations are distilling their delicious treasure: Chuao's cocoa is considered one of the best in the world...

Located a few hours from Caracas, you can only get there by crossing jungle mountains or through the sea. It seems unbelievable that it has been four years since, exactly on a day like today, I arrived to Chuao walking through the mountains from Choroni and returned sailing. Let's come with me!!!

A break on the road from Choroní to Chuao.

A clean river that comes from the mountains of Henri Pittier National Park.

Nature full of life.

Fruit and flowers of cocoa.

The Holy Trinity.

Small flowers that become into sweet flavor.

Fresh water everywhere.

Sweet colors.

Yellows, greens, oranges, reds, purples...

The cocoa fruit grows directly from the trunk of the tree.

It still needs a lot of time to become chocolate.

One of these days they will be chocolate...

One of the grandparents who cares about chocolate.

There will always be a snake in paradise...

An old tree full of young flowers...

Incredible roots of a gigantic tree...

Still life.

Too many colors for a leaf.

It takes a lot of beauty to produce the best chocolate.

A riki riki flower thirsting for sun.

The feverish design of a mind?

Is it a river or is it a road?

Welcome to Chuao. The origin of the best cocoa in the world. Thus is written at the town' s entrance.

Beauty in the body and in the soul.

It still wants to work.

The joy of living in peace.

Fresh fish ... cold beers... and Leonel, my dear brother.

Willing to listen to you from 1772, the Chuao church is living history.

400 years of cocoa have dried in this courtyard.

Here I mark with a red line the trek we made along the mountains between the town of Choroní and Chuao, called La Ruta del Cacao, The Cocoa Route.
