Casa del Plátano In Icod de los Vinos - Tenerife - Bananas EVERYWHERE!

June 2020 · 1 min read · Canary Islands

The moment we set foot into Icod de los Vinos we were very vary of tourist traps. Yes we did go and see the Millennial Dragon Tree.

We loved the tree but not so much the rather steep entrance fee and the park. But then we saw an advertisement for the Casa del Plátano, it sounded interesting but we just assumed it wouldn't be anything worth wile seeing. But it was always in our mind during the day and just out of a gut feeling we decided to go and visit the Casa del Plátano after all. we were so happy we did. The Canary Islands are famous for their banana and it was great to learn more about the plant and the trade.
