Guilin. Part 11. Mountains.

Guilin. Part 11. Mountains.

April 2021 · 3 min read · Guilin

I wanted to show you our raft trip on the river, photos and videos, leafed through the album with photos, and suddenly I realized that I just want to show you different photos of the Guilin Mountains.
In all the photographs that you have seen in my previous posts about the trip to Guilin, you, of course, have seen them.
But, in fact, I have a lot of them. It is impossible to tear yourself away from constantly photographing them.
I don't know why, but the landscapes with these mountains against the background of the sky are mesmerizing.
No wonder these mountains are located on one of China's banknotes, the 20-yuan note.
Therefore, I decided to just show you a few photos of the mountains, from different sides, in different places, near and far, which were not included in my previous posts.
And I will write about a walk along the river in the next post, and there too. of course there will be mountains.
Probably, everything unusual in our nature delights us.

So the mountains.

The first mountains in the distance meet on the track.
It was just over 600 km from our home in Huizhou to our booked hotel in Yangshuo.
We drove - drove, I still sleep constantly on the road.
And so, the monotonous driving for many hours, with periodic stops on the highway for refueling - a toilet and a snack, we go and go, it gets dark and suddenly - on the horizon such mounds began to appear.
Such a delight!
It seems, what is it, mountains on the horizon? But here we are and went to look at these same mountains!
See how mountains suddenly began to appear on the horizon in the distance.

In such rows, hills, more and more, more and more often, the rows of mountains are getting denser and denser, we were approaching Yangshuo.

And here we enter a tunnel right up such a mountain.

And here we are in Yangshuo City. And he is right among these mountains. :)))

And the next day, we walked around Yangshuo all day, and there were mountains around - mountains, the beauty that you have already seen in my previous photographs.
Of course, the eyes quickly get used to this look, and, on the third day, they cease to notice the mountains around.
That is why I love the first impressions of any new places, the first thoughts and the unusual that the eye catches on so much.
Then all this is quickly forgotten, and I no longer want to write about it. Because everything new and unusual turns into the category of the familiar and everyday.
