Japanese 2shrine trip

Hello steemians!
I am RYO!

These are photos of my autumn trip about a month ago!
I visited two shrines, And I went to see the autumn leaves!

The first thing I visited a "Hodosan shrine"

There is autumn leaves before the shrine

That is the "torii" at the entrance of the Hodosan shrine

It is autumn leaves next to the torii.

Those who pass through the torii will "Ichirei(一礼)=bow", Because the shrine is the house of God

There is a shrine on the stairs

This is "Hodosan shrine"

The shrine is really beautiful in my knowing

Gold, red and green, various colors are shining metallic luster

There are many dragons in decoration.
I feel a very great power

People pray with their hands together here

On the left side of the shrine there is a place to enjoy "Mai(舞)"↓

If you are interested in the "Mai" of the shrine please visit this post.
"Mai" is a Japanese traditional dance devoted to God↓

Return the story back to the Hodosan shrine…

The origin of the name of the shrine is "mountain to extinguish the fire"

A fire broke out when Japanese god "Yamato takeru" climbed mountains,
Then a huge dog appeared and extinguished the fire.

That tradition is derived from the name of the Hodosan shrine

And there is a dog shrine a little away from Hodosan shrine

It's name "Inari shrine"
The call the dog's god "Oinari-sama(お稲荷様)"

I finished my journey of the Hodosan shrine and had a meal.
It is a meal in an old Japanese private house

So I ate "Soba(蕎麦)"
"Soba" is a combination of buckwheat flour and flour.

Soba is a very fragrant Japanese traditional food.
If you visit Japan, you'd better eat at once😉

And I headed to the next shrine

This is "Chichibu shrine(秩父神社)"

Chichibu became world famous for Japanese animation "Ano Hana"
But I never seen Ano Hana…

Chichibu shrine is famous for the festival worldwide.
One of the famous 3 big festivals in Japan will be held

The festival is held on December 2nd and 3rd every year under the name "Chichibu Yomatsuri(秩父夜祭り)"

But I have never visited the festival…Because there are too many people😱🤣

This is Chichibu shrine.
It is very simple compared to Hodosan shrine

But originally all the shrines are as simple as this.
In Japan believed that God lives in everyday customs, not gorgeous places and things.
So the shrines where God lives are also simple to make

It is Japan that thinks that God will stay in such a beautiful tree

This concludes my journey!
