#1 Christmas Market in Sofia, Alps style

First up, we head to the Christmas markets in Sophia, Bulgaria with @manoldonchev. He makes a spur of the moment decision to visit the markets after finding himself in the area, and then tries hard to resist the delicious smelling foods as he wonders around. The freshly fallen snow, ice, and evening lights allow him to take some gorgeous photos that capture the spirit of the market beautifully. Eventually he gives in to temptation and buys a trinket from the WWF stand, hoping that his purchase will help save a real-life turtle in a much warmer place.

#2 Something Good Always Come Out

Next, @pushpedal continues his Iranian journey, this time in Isfahan. Upon arrival he visits the city's parks and bridges including the iconic Khaju Bridge, which is pedestrian only and widely photographed by cyclists on Instagram. While on the bridge he starts up a conversation with some locals who offer him lodging in their home, which he gratiously accepts. For the next few days, his hosts play tour guide showing him around the city and introducing him to local Iranian dishes.

#3 Canadian Rockies: Wells Gray Provincial Park, the waterfall wonder.

Finally, @ladybug146 takes us on another gorgeous Canadian Rockies adventure. However, the poor weather meant that even getting to Wells Gray Provincial Park, British Columbia at this time of year was a challenge. After arriving safely, only four hours of sunlight remained to see as many of the 39 waterfalls as possible. Practically this meant three, including Canada's fourth highest waterfall. Although they are stunning against a wintery backdrop, she is likely to return in the summer when the conditions are more amenable to hiking and camping, to tick off the rest.
